By bridging the gap between the unknown and the understandable, Studio Barbaar helps clients make impactful, user-friendly innovations."

Bruno de Vos, founder of Studio Barbaar, brings over fifteen years of experience in guiding multidisciplinary teams to create meaningful digital products and experiences. With a background in Game Design & Development from the University of the Arts Utrecht (HKU), his career spans roles in management, interaction design, and creative direction — a foundation that allows him to bridge design, development, and human insight with ease.

As Studio Barbaar, Bruno works closely with clients to translate ideas into clear and actionable concepts. He defines the product’s structure, from early wireframes and user experience flows to the visual direction and overall tone. Once the foundation is set, he assembles or leads the project team, steering the process through Agile and Scrum methods. His combined experience as a designer and his deep collaboration with developers enable him to accurately estimate work, define priorities, and maintain balance between scope, time, and quality.

With a Teaching Qualification (BDB) and a certificate in Psychosocial and Medical Knowledge (PSBK), Bruno brings strong skills in communication, mentorship, and human-centered leadership. Whether a project leads to a working prototype or a full-scale production, his role is to keep the team aligned, motivated, and focused on creating work that connects technology, clarity, and meaning.

Studio Barbaar works in two complementary ways:

Solo Consultant – Bruno can join client teams directly, bringing his expertise in concept development, experience design, and creative project management. He helps shape ideas into tangible concepts, defines the creative framework, and guides teams through an Agile, structured, and human-centered process, ensuring projects move forward with clarity and purpose.

Custom Team – For larger projects, Studio Barbaar assembles a dedicated team from a trusted network of designers, developers, and specialists. Bruno leads and supports these teams as a creative project lead, combining hands-on coordination with an open, coaching approach. This balance of structure and empathy keeps collaboration smooth, communication clear, and results aligned with the client’s vision.
